Why “Grinning Kitten”?

The kitten is young, precocious. They need help being safe in this world but they will overturn all semblance of order and we will love them for it. Even when it can be exasperating. The cat is independent; the kitten is growing into this. The kitten learns their world while playing under the protection of their mother. The aloof mother cat loves their kitten in a way we can’t understand. Even independent animals can choose to form a bond. The kitten is mischievous. Something is about to happen and it could be a lot of fun. That is the ambiguity of their grin. The grin can be friendly. It can be a challenge. But it will definitely be mischief.
